Chimvu Parish

This calls for celebration as the congregation expands it borderes in the ministry, everything gets a little frustration as the flock o sheep that God has bestowed upon us increase by the day.

These are separate islands but have been joined together and to Orkney Mainland by road causeways for over 70 years. The biggest village is St. Margaret’s Hope with the Manse and Church building both there. The village has a primary school, as does the village of Burray (about 5 miles away). There is a ferry link from St. Margaret’s Hope to Gill’s Bay on the north coast of Mainland Scotland. The congregation has no minister just now (vacant) but is being covered by an Interim Moderator who is Wilma Johnston (see East Mainland).
